This Sunday: Cadboro Bay Collaborative Beach Clean-Up! 🌊 Join us, Surfrider UVic and UVic Alumni for a special beach clean up at Cadboro Bay Gyro Park Come Make a DifferenceWe’d love to see you this Sunday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for our next beach cleanup at Cadboro Bay Gyro Park! We’re teaming up with Surfrider UVic and UVic Alumni to bring our community together for a morning of making our beaches beautiful. Whether you’re a cleanup regular or it’s your first time joining us, everyone is welcome.Coffee and PizzaAfter we finish cleaning, our University of Victoria partners are treating everyone to pizza as a thank you for pitching in. We’ll also have prizes to give away throughout the morning.Discovery Coffee will be on-site with fresh coffee to keep you going. And our friends at Atlas Junk Removal will be there to haul away all the trash we collect and sort everything properly at their facility. Saanich invites further public engagement for 2020 Climate Plan Update
Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is excited to announce in-person engagement sessions as part of the 2020 Climate Plan Update. These open house events take place alongside a public survey that runs through October 30.
Residents are invited to attend the upcoming open houses to engage in meaningful discussions and share their valuable ideas on the future of Saanich’s climate initiatives.
Bring the whole family and enjoy e-bike test rides with Capital Bike, climate adaptation workshops, DIY air filtration demonstrations and more! Collect resources at our information booths, learn about local rebates and programs and chat with experts, including the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre. Childcare and refreshments will be provided.
