Everyone is cordially invited to join in the Blessing of the Animals Service at St. George’s Anglican Church, 3909 St. George’s Lane, (off Maynard St. in Cadboro Bay), on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 4 pm.
The Blessing of the Animals provides an opportunity for all members of the community to gather with their pets, to show appreciation for the love and care they give us, and to acknowledge the need for continued advocacy on behalf of all animals.
It is also a time to remember pets that are no longer with us, giving thanks for the joy they have brought into our lives. During the service, a collection is taken and the proceeds distributed among local animal welfare organizations.
