Notice from Saanich:
Do you know a group, individual or business that has made an outstanding contribution to the natural environment in Saanich? If so, please consider nominating them for a Saanich Environmental Award. Awards are made in seven categories:
- Individual
- Business/Commercial
- Volunteer Organization
- Youth Group/School
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Sustainability
- Long-term Achievement.
Awards will be presented to the winners at the first Council meeting in June. Winners receive a framed certificate and have their names added to a permanent plaque at Saanich Hall.
Nominations will be accepted until April 25, 2014. Nominations can be made online by visiting the Saanich website at http://www.saanich.ca/enviroawards
