Local Government Awareness week: 2 workshops, May 21

The District of Saanich will be holding two special workshops on May 21st to celebrate Local Government Awareness Week.

These informal drop-in sessions will highlight information about Saanich and role the District plays in the day-to-day life of citizens. Importantly, these sessions will also focus on ways citizens can engage with their local government.

You are invited to drop in to one of our two sessions for this informative and interactive event:

  • Saanich Commonwealth Place |Arbutus Room | 10:30 am – 12 pm or
  • Cedar Hill Recreation Centre | Gallery Café | 7:30 pm – 9 pm

This will be an open-house style event where guests can drop in for only 10 minutes or an hour! There will be interactive activities as well as diverse information on Saanich history, Saanich today, and upcoming projects.

Please share this information with those you who feel may be interested in learning more about engaging with our local government. Your interest in strengthening our Saanich community is greatly appreciated. Communities benefit from sharing ideas and working together.

Information can be also found at the District of Saanich website or by calling 250-475-1775.
