Further to its Campus and Community Engagement Plan that was circulated prior to the holidays, the University of Victoria announces two events:
- Campus Plan Update: Speakers Event
- Campus Plan Update: Ideas Forum
- Campus Plan Update: Speakers Event – January 28 at 4:30–6:00 pm at the Bob Wright Centre, B150
This public event will provide inspiring ideas from two special speakers, a visiting national expert on campus planning, and Dr. Eric Higgs, a professor from the School of Environmental Studies. The session will be moderated by Dr. Andrew Rowe, who is an Associate Professor with the Mechanical Engineering Department and a member of the Campus Planning Committee. The event is the public launch of UVic’s Campus Plan Update, and it will set the stage for an inspiring year-long campus and community conversation that will inform the future of campus. It will include an opportunity for Questions & Answers and general discussion with the audience.
- Campus Plan Update: Ideas Forum – February 4, 12:00 – 2:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Student Union Building, Michele Pujol Room
This come-and-go public event at the Student Union Building will be a key opportunity to have your say about the future of the campus. There will be opportunity to learn about the process and the campus, and to offer input on your priorities and aspirations for its future. Refreshments will be available and everyone from the campus and external community is welcome to attend.
