Seminar on Heritage Conservation Areas in BC

The Hallmark Heritage Society invites you to a broadcast seminar of interest to all community members involved in heritage conservation and the governance and planning process in Victoria.

  • Presenter – Heritage B.C.
  • When; Friday, December 2, 2016, 12:00–1:00pm.
  • Where: Craigflower Schoolhouse – 2755 Admirals Road.

A Heritage Conservation Area (HCA) is an increasingly popular tool for local governments to protect areas with heritage value or character—but what does it do and what are the implications of its use?

In this broadcast webinar sponsored by the Hallmark Heritage Society, the HCA is explored—explaining what it is, its legal framework and how it interacts with other planning tools such as permits and incentives.

This session is great for planners, elected officials, community heritage commissions, heritage property owners, business and tourism community members, and the general public.

Facilities at the Schoolhouse allow the viewing of webinars on a large, wall-mounted screen complete with sound.
