Julie Wallace, Programmer II at the Recreation, Community Services Saanich Parks & Recreation Dept. of the District of Saanich, writes:

We are pleased to attach the first draft of Saanich Parks & Recreation’s
Older Adults Strategy
for your perusal.    As you are aware, we finished the
Public Engagement Phase II in November and have been writing the Goals,
Actions and Outcomes over the past 4 months.  It is now available for
everyone to take a look and let us know if we have caught all the main ideas
and priorities.   The first draft will also posted on our weebly website
www.olderadultstrategy.weebly.com  as well as the Saanich website
www.saanich.ca/olderadults.com     We will be collecting feedback and
comments from the public up to April 7th and will then go back to editing
and finalizing Draft 2.

At this time we would invite you to read through the attached document and
feel free to send comments or concerns to either

1. by email

2. by writing: please drop off at Saanich Parks and Recreation Administration office, 780 Vernon Ave (beside Saanich Municipal Hall)

3. by writing: please drop off at one of our four recreation centres
(Cedar Hill Recreation Centre, Gordon Head Recreation Centre, G. R. Pearkes Recreation Centre or Saanich Commonwealth Place) and ask staff to send to Julie Wallace at Recreation Administration

4. If you would like to discuss anything in person please just give myself, or our office a call 250-475-5424, or 250-475-5408 (Julie).

We would like to thank everyone who has given input and suggestions over the past few months. We hope we have captured the main themes and have an exciting,  inclusive vision for older adults for the next five years.
