Earthquake preparedness

I’m starting a conversation regarding Earthquake
Preparedness – specifically warnings regarding tsunamis  in
the Cadboro Bay/10 Mile area.

I’m curious why Cadboro Bay beach in
particular couldn’t have sirens in place such as Tofino.
Is
there any updated information regarding Emerg Preparedness on 10 Mile –
specifically the loop of Baynes – Smugglers Cove – McAnally in light of
the recent Tsunami “scare”. Our family lives on Smugglers Cove Road.
Are there any street captain still in place?

I’d like to think more of a warning could take place –
we’ve since signed up for Vic Alert on our cell phones.
I’ve attended some meetings with the CBRA on this subject
and have attended some sessions at the Cadboro Bay United Church on
Arbutus Road. Time for a refresher I’m afraid.
Many thanks
for any information you may have…..
