Residents invited to walking tour of problem junction, Sept 9

Curby Klaibert, Spokesperson & Registrar for the Saanich & Oak Bay Community Safety Network, has written to the Cadboro Bay Residents Association, inviting its members and other local residents to a meeting and brief walking tour of the Y-shaped intersection of Beach Drive and Cadboro Bay Road, on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 3:30 pm. (For more information, see the Victoria News article.)

He writes:

Everyone will meet at 3:30 pm sharp at the bottom end of Hibbens Close and we’ll walk up to the problematic intersection.

I received notice that Mayor Atwell of Saanich will attend as well as the Saanich News and Oak Bay News.
We are hoping many of the council members of both municipalities will also attend.

If you know of others who would like to join the Saanich & Oak Bay Community Safety Network it would be most helpful if they joined soon and participated in the September 9th walking tour. In order to join, all they need to do is email me at curby@telus.net and provide me with their full name, address and phone number. The September 9th event will be the best opportunity we’ll have to positively influence elected officials of both municipalities to support our community safety objectives which are explained in detail in the email chain below.
