Geotechnical work in Haro Woods in the coming days

From Evan Southern, Director of Communications & Stakeholder Engagement, Capital Regional District, Wastewater Treatment Project

I wanted to update you on some up-coming work that is scheduled to take place at Haro Woods next week (weather depending).

The Project will be doing some geotechnical work (drilling 6 boreholes) on our CRD property which will help survey the site. The work is anticipated to take 2-4hours over a few days. There will be some noise associated with the work (trucks/drilling).

We have not been able to perform any of these works because of the weather/fire warnings. Once those are lifted we will get started. In advance of that, we will have a construction notice that we will send to our neighbours in the area (District of Saanich, UVic, and some of the health care providers in the area). Happy to share it with you once we can confirm the dates and you can provide to your members, if you choose. We will also have a construction sign put up near the entry to our portion of the property.

The actual construction work of the Arbutus Attenuation Tank will not start until Spring 2019 but I wanted to give you an advanced heads-up in case you had any questions.

Thank you,

Evan
