Outcome of Saanich Council hearing on Osprey townhouses

Eric Dahli, Chair, Cadboro Bay Residents Association, reports:

Last night Council voted to send the Planning recommendation regarding the proposed “Osprey” project (2590–98 Penrhyn Street Penrhyn St. townhouses) to a Public Hearing.

Council felt the applicant met the test to refer this matter to a public Hearing rather than (as we requested) to postpone further consideration of the development to allow the applicant to address the concerns raised.

I will be sending a separate message to the Director of Planning to find out when the date for the  Public Hearing will be announced. Stay tuned for that announcement.  For those of you who came out last night and spoke to have the matter referred back to address our concerns, THANK YOU.   We will  now start the process of reviewing  all the presentations ( The proceedings were taped and can be viewed via the Saanich website)

Thanks again for your  continued support as we prepare for the Public Hearing.

Please share this information with all your friends and neighbours ( it`s early and I may have missed a name of  one of our supporters)
