On Monday evening, February 24, 2020, Saanich Council will be considering a proposal by Councillor Karen Harper to ban dogs on Gyro Beach in the summer months, in line with beach rules in jurisdictions such as Willows Beach in Oak Bay.

The CBRA has written to the Council expressing its objection to this proposal, in response to strong opposition among local residents.

Members of the public are also welcome to attend Monday night’s 7pm meeting and speak to Council. The meeting is at Saanich Municipal Hall, 770 Vernon Avenue.
