Beginning March 1, Island Health will be operating a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in McKinnon Gym as one of more than 30 sites operating across Vancouver Island.
The university is assisting with this important public health project by providing a venue, access to short-term parking, and janitorial support. The vaccination clinic will be located in the main McKinnon gym, off Gabriola Road and parking lot 2.
The clinic will be operational during Phases 2 and 3 of BC’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan, and will be staffed and managed by Island Health.
All appointments for vaccinations will be pre-booked. Visit www.islandhealth.ca/covid19vaccine to get details about who is eligible, when and how to register and for resources and information.
Gabriola Road between Ring Road and parking lot 2 will be restricted to one-way traffic eastbound to accommodate the vaccination clinic. Parking stalls in lot 2 near McKinnon Gym will also be reserved for short-term clinic parking for clients. Please follow the signs.
