Update from Saanich: People, Pets and Parks – Virtual Information Session

The project team will present highlights and key recommendations of the Draft Strategy at this online ‘webinar’ style event. 

Monday, May 29th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

To make this a safe and comfortable session for all to attend, this event is ‘view only’ and participant cameras will be turned off. People attending can watch the presentation and will have the option to submit written questions anonymously during the event.

    IT’S THE WRONG PARKS STRATEGY:

    HERE IS THE RIGHT and FAIR ONE:

    Dogs are not the problem.

    People who love dogs are also citizens.

    They are not the problem.

    This containment and punishment strategy is wrong.

    The goal needs to be fair and equal access to parks for everyone and safety.

    The protection of delicate areas and wildlife means people and dogs are kept out at times of year or permanently.

    Not just dogs.

    All parks should be accessible to both groups at different times of day, and the year on a revolving schedule

    That’s it.

    What is the Association going to do??
