Letter submitted by Cadboro Bay Resident to the Cadboro Bay Residents Association to share with the community:
“I’ve recently noticed Scotch Broom growing in our neighbourhood, including along the fence on the east side of Gyro Park. I hadn’t noticed it before, but understand that it can spread very quickly.
Since it is highly unlikely that Saanich has the resources to do anything about it, I’m wondering what CBRA might be able to do to help mobilize people in Cadboro Bay.
I am willing to do my best along that fence, but it would be great to have some help. It also needs to be bagged up and taken to Hartland.
I wonder how we might also encourage residents to remove it from their yards.”
Best,
