Mount Douglas Park 20th Anniversary Celebration

The public is cordially invited to attend the 20th Anniversary of the title transfer and the re-dedication of Saanich’s commitment to the protection and preservation of the natural environment for the inspiration, use and enjoyment by the community as a public park. Thursday, November 22, 2012, 10:00 a.m., Mount Douglas Park. Churchill Drive – Main Gate Parking Lot

Mount Douglas Park has nearly 150 years of history. It was only 20 years ago that the Province of BC transferred the title of the park to Saanich.

A new Charter Rock at the Churchill Drive parking lot will be unveiled along with other 20th Anniversary projects. Light Refreshments will be served.

Parking will be limited; participants are encouraged to car pool & park in the Main/Beach Lot.

Participants include:

  • His Worship Frank Leonard, Mayor of Saanich 
  • Darrell Wick, Friends of Mount Douglas Park Society
