Please join us to celebrate the opening of the new accessible access improvements at Cadboro-Gyro Park beach. Nichola Wade, Parks Chairperson of the Parks, Trails & Recreation Committee commented:
“This is going to be very welcome news for many people in our community who can now enjoy easier access to the beautiful and popular beach at Cadboro-Gyro Park.”
As part of the park improvement plans and Phase 1 of the accessibility improvements, the new accessible ramp and beach mats will be rolled out for use. More details can be found at the Cadboro-Gyro Park plan website page
Joining us at this official opening will be Saanich Councilor Nichola Wade, and Stef Barber, a Saanich Parks Trails and Recreation committee member. Stef is also a longtime ambassador for inclusive accessible communities, as well as a noted wheelchair athlete.
