Until the CRD provides the Residents of our area with official updates on the Beach Closures in Cadboro Bay via our website, we will continue to post information from the CRD provided to individual “concerned citizens” Hopefully the CRD will provide our Association with this important information in a timely manner for all future updates.
The following is from the CRD, dated October 27:
CRD Environmental Protection staff have been monitoring Cadboro Bay since the advisory was issued two weeks ago. Currently we are sampling weekly and/or after storm events. Our most recent data is from October 20th and shows that fecal coliform and enterococci levels at the shoreline continue to be above the Health Canada recreational contact guidelines for marine waters.
