A Christmas Season Kick-Off Event
The pre-Christmas time has arrived, which means it’s the season of office gatherings, family trips to the tree farm, and gifting to all those who make a special difference in our lives throughout the year.
St. George’s Church offers a unique opportunity to find that distinctive gift for the impossible-to-buy-for co-worker, friend, or great aunt. The Annual Christmas Fair is also an occasion to see the Cadboro Bay community enjoying serving together, to have lunch with friends, to hear Christmas music, and to bolster your Christmas spirit—all in one place and time. St. George’s Annual Christmas Fair takes place on Saturday, November 28th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. George’s Church.
There will be a silent auction with lots of goodies donated from the Merchants of Cadboro Bay Village and beyond. Everyone enjoys the Treasure Tables—saving you the trouble of digging through rummage sales for that one-of-a-kind treasure, at the Christmas Fair, only the good stuff will be available at our Treasure Tables. There will be tables loaded with books and children’s toys. One of the most coveted sections of the fair is the home baking and preserves area, where you’ll find delicious concoctions such as rose water panettone, fresh apple pies made by the church congregation from all local apple trees, and spreads and jams both savory and sweet. To brighten your home, there will be a table of indoor and outdoor plants, bags of holly, and Christmas greenery baskets and wreaths.
Throughout the whole event, we welcome all our guests to a free cup of coffee (or two). There will also be a freshly prepared $8 lunch available for those who need to take a break from shopping or want to sit back and soak in the event.
St. George’s would be pleased to have you, your family, and your friends join us on November 28th for a great kick-off to the Christmas season!
