Do you know an inspiring community leader who you’d like to see recognized with a Victoria Leadership Award?
Each year, the Victoria community comes together in February to celebrate the stories of inspiring people who are making our community the vibrant place that it is. People nominate their friends, colleagues and neighbours who have gone “above and beyond” in leading in the community. The Awards program is hosted by five leading community organizations: Leadership Victoria, Rotary Clubs of Greater Victoria, United Way of Greater Victoria, University of Victoria, and the Victoria Foundation.
Nominations are now open in seven award categories, for people from all walks of life. Please consider looking at the Award categories and thinking of one or two special people that you’d like to see recognized for their contribution. The nomination process involves an online form and collecting two letters of support for your nominee. Every nominee is recognized for their contribution, and one recipient is selected in each category to receive the Award each year.
If you know of someone who’s organized a community initiative, brought people together around a common vision, or supported the community by mentoring and coaching others… you have a potential nominee!
Nominations are online, and are open until December 1, 2015 at 4pm. The Awards Presentation is February 25, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Victoria Conference Centre.
