Saanich crews and Coast Guard representatives have been on site at Cadboro Beach in front of Cadboro Gyro Park again this morning. Debris from the large boat that beached December 5 is being removed by the boat owner, including a plastic fuel tank. Saanich crews continue to dispose of materials washed up along the shore. Local residents have been helpful in gathering items from the beach as well.
The beach area has been reopened, but as always following a major storm event, the public are advised to use caution. As the boats on any beach are deemed to be private property, beach users should avoid entering into or removing items from these boats.
