    This fall we will once again host a series of free talks in partnership with the GVPL as part of the Saanich Remembers Project.  
  • David Chuen-Yan Lai fonds
    David Chuen-Yan Lai was born in Hong Kong. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics and began teaching as an assistant professor in geography at UVic in 1968. 
  • Qu’Appelle Park Program
    We’re not saying goodbye to Summer just yet! This photo shows a group of happy participants of the Qu’Appelle Park summer park programme in August 1953. The arrow at the top edge indicates: “This is where we did the sawing”.  
  • Did You Know: War Memorial Arch
    The Saanich War Memorial Health Centre at 4353 West Saanich Road was built in 1920 by public conscription as a memorial to those who died in WWI. But did you know that a distinctive Memorial Arch once stood at the entrance to the property?
