Letter from Eric Dahil, Chair of Cadboro Bay Residents Association, to Andrew Weaver (local MLA), Fred Haynes (Mayor of Saanich) and a host of other local and provincial government officials:

Good afternoon everyone
Here are some recent photographs of Boats in Finnerty Cove, tied off the Queen Alexander property. The unidentified boats and owners use their zodiac for access to private property as a pathway for accessthrough the QA property. This unauthorized access, as well as trespassing on private property poses a serious safety risk to the children and clientele served by the QA.
In addition to the multiple violations of Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations, there is no evidence safe fuel storage and proper sewage and garbage removal and disposal. More recent photographs with a large tarp over the anchored docking and storage area indicates that the intention of the unidentified occupants goes beyond an overnight anchorage. Photographs available upon request.
Your assistance in helping the Queen Alexander, their clients and children by working with the above noted parties in removing these is appreciated.
Finally, In February Our Association, The Cadboro Bay Residents Association was awarded a certificate of Recognition by Mayor Fred Haynes for our long term dedication for removing derelicts boats.
Our determination and dedication to safe and clean Beaches and Waterways remain an ongoing objective
Eric Dahli, Chair
Cadboro Bay Residents Association and Co-Founder of the Cadboro Bay Dead Boats Society
