From Saanich News:
Saanich Police are telling parents and children to be cautious after an incident occurred Monday evening with a suspicious driver.
Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking along Queenswood Drive at McDonald Drive West at approximately 5:15 p.m. on April 5th.
A black vehicle pulled alongside her, and the driver began asking her for help to find a lost dog.
The suspect continued in his advances until the girl chose to run away, at which point the driver quickly fled. They are believed to have swerved eastbound on Queenswood Drive.
The suspect is described as a white male, roughly 30-years-old, wearing a black toque, black face mask and a puffy jacket. All of the clothing items were described as being dirty.
He was driving an older black 4-door vehicle in poor condition, with the rear side windows smashed out, and large amounts of cans and bottles for recycling inside the car.
