As part of Saanich Council’s deliberations on the Draft 2021-2025 Financial Plan, CBRA encouraged improvements for the many families with and without dogs, who collectively treasure Cadboro-Gyro Park for its beachside recreation, community vibrancy and wildlife.
In a letter submitted for the March 23, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting, CBRA noted key recommendations from its report on dog restrictions submitted to Council last fall. The letter also noted the increase in park usage through the Pandemic, and ways that park accessibility and inclusion can be improved. Remarks to Council summarized the letter – video starts at 2:45.
