Please help us map important areas and features for the State of Biodiversity Report and the Urban Forest Strategy!
As noted in our last update, Diamond Head Consulting Ltd (DHC) is working on a State of Biodiversity Report (with the Resilient Saanich Technical Committee and staff) that will inform the development of a Biodiversity Conservation Strategy. DHC has developed an interactive online mapping tool to engage Saanich residents in both the State of Biodiversity Report and the Urban Forest Strategy. Use this LINK to participate and learn more.
Input you share through this online mapping tool will help us gather information about local biodiversity, characteristics and types of natural areas, areas of significant value to the community and threats to biodiversity. Your input will also help us understand the community’s priorities and issues. This will help us prepare for the later phases of the project, which will include more public engagement.
