I was interested to read about how deer are preventing Saanich from increasing the urban forest, tree canopy. Perhaps Saanich could refrain from destroying the mature trees we have? I now see why the owner of the rented property on lower Penrhyn St. was so eager to cut down the three trees opposite the doctor’s office on this past Tuesday (June 24). Of course they did block the view from the new development as well. Paul Cooper
