Saanich Emergency Preparedness Presentation

Notice from Saanich Emergency Program: 

When disaster strikes, your chances of staying safe, healthy and comfortable are much better if you are prepared. This one-hour presentation offers the information you need to prepare yourself and your family to survive on your own for up to 7 days after any type of disaster. Each household participating in the presentation will receive a free workbook to help with emergency planning.

The presentation will cover:

  • *5 Disasters: Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Pandemics, Dwelling Fires, Wildfires
  • *Grab and Go Bag demo
  • *Emergency Water
  • *Emergency Food Supply
  • *Home Kits
  • *Evacuate or Stay At Home
  • *Communicating in an Emergency
  • *Water Shut Offs
  • *Sewerage Disruptions (dry toilet)
  • *Natural Gas Leaks
  • *Power Outages
  • *Downed Power Lines
