Last night’s storm gave the good citizens of Saanich another boat to deal with, the Seanic—a 27’ fibreglass sloop, registration 14K33126, is beached approximately “half way” between Cadboro Gyro Park and the Oak Bay derelict boats.
We hope the Provincial Government will continue cooperate with the Municipality of Saanich and remove this potential danger from the beach.
CBRA representatives will be examining this vessel to-day to ensure there are no fuel, oil, chemicals and other toxic materials including drug paraphernalia , that may put the people that walk the beach at risk.
